Hamas insists on its own terms

More than 33,000 Palestinians have lost their lives in the indiscriminate bombing by occupying Israel.

Occupier Israel is negotiating a new ceasefire with the Palestinian armed group Hamas. Yesterday, Israel presented its new proposal to the mediating countries in Cairo, the capital of Egypt. Now they await Hamas' response.

However, in the Jerusalem Day speech on Wednesday (April 3), Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh said that they are still adamant about the conditions they have given for the ceasefire. If there is to be a ceasefire then it must be on their terms.

In this regard, Ismail Haniyeh said, the jewish occupiers continue to avoid the ongoing negotiations to stop the aggression. The occupiers are determined to continue their aggression. And Netanyahu and those with him aim to stay in power as long as possible.

He added, "We are clearly stating our commitment to a permanent ceasefire, the withdrawal of all Israeli troops from Gaza, the return of all the people of Gaza to their homes, the provision of all the needs of our people, the reconstruction of Gaza, the lifting of the blockade and the exchange of prisoners." I am adamant about the conditions.

Hamas's war with occupying Israel began on October 7 last year. About 33,000 Palestinians have been killed so far in the war that has been going on for more than six months. Besides, about 1 lakh people were injured. Most of them are civilians.

On October 7, Hamas attacked various illegal settlements in Israel and arrested 250 people in Gaza. Of those, 134 are still in the hands of Hamas. A ceasefire is now being negotiated between Hamas and Israel in exchange for these hostages.
