Renowned Bangladeshi filmmaker Khijir Hayat Khan has exciting news for film enthusiasts. Inspired by Francis Ford Coppola's masterpiece "The Godfather," Khan is embarking on his dream project. Taking to Facebook, the director shared his intentions to adapt the iconic film into the Bangladeshi context, revealing that he has already commenced work on the script.


Expressing his enthusiasm, Khan stated, "I don't know whether I will be making a film or a web-series. However, I had a dream of creating 'The Godfather' adaptation in the context of Bangladesh for many years. I have finally started writing the script, drawing inspiration from 'The Godfather' writer Mario Puzo and Francis Ford Coppola. Please do pray for us," he wrote in his post.

Khan's previous directorial venture, "Ora 7 Jon," garnered acclaim and further solidified his prowess as a filmmaker. The film recently won the prestigious Best Screenplay award in the Feature Film category at the esteemed 13th Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival.
