Rangpur has been transformed into a red-green light on the golden jubilee of victory in the great war of liberation and independence. Rangpur's iconic installations have become the center of attraction in terms of visual illumination. Visitors, including ordinary people, have flocked to see Rangpur at night.



Spectacular lighting can be seen on various roads in Rangpur District from evening tonight on Wednesday (December 15). Outside the city, various Upazilas of the district have also been illuminated for the Great Victory Day.


The whole Rangpur district has been abuzz with the portraits of Bangabandhu, especially in government and semi-government installations. Rangpur Divisional Commissioner's Office, Deputy Commissioner's Office, Metropolitan Police Commissioner's Office, Nagar Bhaban, Town Hall, Zila Parishad Bhaban, Collectorate Survi Udyan, Mural of Bangabandhu, Sadar Upazila Parishad, and other important premises of the city attracting visitors. In the light of 50 years of victory, various non-governmental organizations, shopping malls, and commercial buildings have not been left out.


 At 10:30 pm, people of different ages were seen on the premises of the Rangpur District Council. Most of them are attracted to the red-green lighting of the night. Many of the visitors were seen taking videos, taking selfies, and taking pictures on their mobile phones.


Ahsan Habib and Kamrul Hasan, two visitors, said the Rangpur District Council building looks different to us today. Earlier I came on Bangabandhu's birthday. I came again today. It feels so good to see such beautiful lighting. The whole city is really eye-catching today.


Rangpur Deputy Commissioner's Office premises talking to a journalist named Golam Mostafa Joy. "In the 50 years since the victory, we have had many great achievements," he said. Our country is much more developed now. We are moving forward with day-to-day development. Today Rangpur is enlightened, the whole country is enlightened. Rangpur looks different as it celebrates the golden jubilee of independence.

Meanwhile, not only in the Rangpur metropolis but also eight Upazilas of the district are illuminated with colorful lights. Government buildings have been illuminated. However, many have praised the newly constructed Golden Jubilee Memorial of Independence at Rangpur District Council Building, Surovi Uddan.


Former Joint General Secretary of Rangpur Press Club Khandaker Mostafa Sarwar Onu said that this day is a memorable and best achievement for the Bengali nation among the best achievements of the millennium. Today, as the child of a heroic freedom fighter, I am proud of Rangpur, which has become colored with the love of red and green. Spectacular lighting especially captivated my mind.


Regarding lighting, Mayor of Rangpur City Corporation Mostafizur Rahman Mostafa said that Rangpur, like the rest of the country, has important murals, squares, Bangabandhu's murals, and various installations on the occasion of Bangladesh's Golden Jubilee and Great Victory DayIlluminated.We have tried to celebrate the 50th anniversary of this unforgettable victory by lighting it up.
