5,000 young people across the country will receive free Microsoft Cloud Skills training.

Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority and Corporate Technology Limited are jointly organizing this training program.

On Tuesday, State Minister for Information Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak inaugurated the training program on a virtual platform.

The state minister said that according to the latest statistics, cloud-based business worth about 13 million is being done in Bangladesh every year. In the next 3-5 years, the scope of cloud-based business in Bangladesh is likely to increase by another 20-25 percent. And the global freelance market has about 1.8 million dollars worth of cloud services.

‘Domestic companies that use Microsoft’s cloud solutions demand professional vendor certificates for their jobs. At present, about 10,000 professionals are working in the cloud-based service sector in Bangladesh, and in the next 3-5 years, another 10,000 professional experts will be created in this sector, ”he said.

He also hoped that in the future, companies like Microsoft, Google, and Amazon would be interested in training the manpower of Bangladesh by adapting their platform.

Speaking on the occasion, Hosne Ara Begum, Managing Director (Secretary) of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, NDC, said that technology-based industrialization and its development has been created and possible in public and private high-tech parks and software technology parks work is underway to ensure the supply of skilled manpower trained for employment. Afif Mohammad Ali, Managing Director, Microsoft Bangladesh, said, In specialized domains like workplace) skills will be developed. Participants who pass the training will receive 100 Cloud Credit from Microsoft and a 20 percent waiver on the Vendor Certificate Exam.
