Under Muslim law, such marriages will not be considered valid. This marriage will be considered annulled or invalid.

In this regard, Barguna Judge Court Advocate Abdullah Al Saeed said that if he wants to marry someone else, he has to get a divorce first. After that, the woman will be able to get married after a certain period of time. If you want, you can't get married the day after the divorce. It is a punishable offense.

According to the provisions, Section 494 of the Penal Code of 1860 states that if a wife has more than one marriage while in a previous marriage, she can be imprisoned for 7 (seven) years, fined or both, and Section 495 states that if she conceals her previous marriage, she can be imprisoned for 10 yearsWill be fined or both.

An exception to Section 494, however, was that if the husband had been missing for seven years and was not found alive, he could remarry. The condition is that in the new marriage, all the events of the previous marriage must be clearly stated.

Meanwhile, if the husband does the same, it is a punishable offense for him. It is a criminal offense to remarry without the consent of the first wife and not to provide for her maintenance.

According to section 6 of the Muslim Family Law Ordinance 1961, in case of second marriage, the marriage will not be registered without the permission of the arbitral tribunal. And so a second marriage without the permission of the first wife will be considered illegal.

To remedy this situation, you can file a case in the Magistrate's Court under Section 494 of the Penal Code-1860. At this time the husband has to show the cabinet letter of the second marriage in the court. If convicted, your husband faces up to seven years in prison and a fine.
