On the occasion of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's 61st birthday, the makers have released the first song from his upcoming film King. The romantic track, titled "Tu Mil Jaaye," features Deepika Padukone opposite Shah Rukh on screen. However, the biggest talking point since its release has been the joint participation of British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran and Indian singer Arijit Singh. The song is composed by Sachin-Jigar.
Right after its release, fans began expressing their excitement on social media. The chemistry between Shah Rukh and Deepika, along with the unusual musical collaboration between Ed Sheeran and Arijit Singh, has caught listeners' attention. Seeing the pair's romantic moments in the song, many have brought up their film Om Shanti Om. Shah Rukh's physique in the song has also become a topic of discussion among fans.
One person wrote on social media, "Unbelievable! SRK, Arijit Singh and Ed Sheeran, how is this even possible!" A dialogue by Shah Rukh at the start of the song has also drawn listeners' attention. He is heard saying, "Main qaatil nahin, aashiq hoon," meaning "I am not a killer, I am a lover."
Another fan wrote, "This collaboration between Arijit Singh and Ed Sheeran is absolutely crazy! And SRK is brilliant as always." Another commented, "What a song! King Sahab has won hearts." Alongside the song's release, countless fans also sent birthday wishes to Shah Rukh.
For his birthday, the technology company Google also organized a special tribute. A special promotional installation for his upcoming film King was displayed at the Bandra-Worli Sea Link in Mumbai. The actor went out by car late at night to see the display. Afterwards, he shared photos of the display on the social media platform X and thanked Google Gemini.
In his post, Shah Rukh wrote, "Dost ho toh Google Gemini jaisa," meaning that if you have a friend, they should be like Google Gemini. Thanking them for expressing such affection through this grand gesture, he joked that he had to sneak out in his car to take the picture.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, King is scheduled to release in theaters on December 24. Besides Shah Rukh and Deepika, the film also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Suhana Khan, and many others.
