Bangladeshi agencies are blocking Indian visa appointment slots, according to Pawan Badhe, India's Deputy High Commissioner to Bangladesh.
He said this practice creates difficulties for ordinary visa applicants, preventing them from applying for visas and making the process more complicated. He added that the Indian High Commission is working to resolve these problems.
He made the remarks while speaking to journalists on Sunday evening, October 18, before visiting a Durga Puja mandap at the residence of renowned philanthropist Ranada Prasad Saha in Mirzapur, Tangail.
The Deputy High Commissioner said that several agencies reserve or block visa appointment slots in advance. As a result, ordinary applicants are unable to submit their applications on time and face difficulties obtaining visas.
He said the Indian High Commission is actively working to reduce the inconvenience faced by ordinary people and make the visa application process easier and more transparent.
Earlier, he visited the library at Kumudini Hospital. He later visited the Durga Puja mandap at the residence of philanthropist Ranada Prasad Saha.
