It has started raining in the capital Dhaka since Thursday morning. The Meteorological Department has said that there may be rain in various parts of the country including the capital today. After two days, the winter may increase from next Monday.

The Meteorological Department has said that the rains are due to the influence of Cyclone Michaung. Cyclone Michaung, which originated in the Bay of Bengal, hit the coast of India's Andhra state last Tuesday. Due to its effect, the sky has remained cloudy in different parts of the country including Dhaka. It rained in some parts of the country on Wednesday.

Along with this, moderate to heavy rainfall may occur in some parts of the country.

Cyclone Michaung in India's Andhra state and nearby areas has weakened towards the north, the Meteorological Department said. After that it became low pressure first and then low pressure. Yesterday evening it was in North Andhra Pradesh and nearby South Odisha areas. Due to its effect, deep circulating clouds are being formed in the northern Bay of Bengal and nearby coastal areas of Bangladesh.

Meteorological Department Meteorologist Md Tariful Nawaz Kabir said yesterday that the southern districts of Bangladesh may receive more rain. Basically it is the effect of Cyclone Michaung. Apart from this, there may be more or less rain in different parts of the country. This may reduce the night temperature slightly and the day temperature by 1 degree Celsius across the country.

Meteorologist Md. of Meteorological Department said that the ray of rain will remain till Friday. Tariful Nawaz Kabir. He said yesterday that the rain will decrease on Saturday.

There have been three cyclones in Bangladesh so far this year. Cyclone Mocha hit on May 14. Cyclone 'Hamun' hit the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar coast on the night of 24 October. Then on November 19 Cyclone 'Midhili' hit. Then Cyclone 'Michaung' hit the coast of India.

Temperatures were higher than normal last November. Although almost a week of December has passed, winter has not yet fallen. In this regard, Meteorologist Bazlur Rashid said that it will not be cold for two days after the rain. The temperature will remain the same. Thursday may feel a bit chilly due to rain. There will be moisture in the air for two days after the rains leave. So the temperature will not decrease as much. However, if the humidity decreases within two days, the cold may increase from Monday.
