David Warner is not in the T20 series against India

Australian cricketer David Warner has withdrawn from the T20 series against India. Australia will play a five-match T20 series against India from Thursday. Like Warner, the World Cup-winning captain Pat Cummins, two pacers Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc, and two all-rounders Cameron Green and Mitchell Marsh will not be in this series. At the end of the World Cup, they took their way home.

Warner has already announced that he will bid farewell to white-shirt cricket with a Test against Pakistan at home in Sydney.

Last July, he said, 'If I get a chance in the Pakistan series after doing well in the Test Championship final and the Ashes, then I will withdraw from Tests there. I can definitely say, I will not play the West Indies series. That's why they don't want to take the pressure of the five-match T20 series after finishing the World Cup.

Starting just four days after the World Cup, this series is crucial for Australia. Australia's preparations for the 2024 T20 World Cup are going to start from this series. Apart from these five matches against India, Australia has only six matches before the World Cup. They will play two 3-match series against West Indies and New Zealand in February.

Matthew Wade will lead this T20 series against India. It is heard that all-rounder Mitchell Marsh can get the permanent captaincy of Australia in this edition. It was under him that Australia won the series against South Africa 3-0 in September.

Australia's head coach Andrew McDonald will be absent from the series against India. India will be captained by Suryakumar Yadav. Apart from Suryakumar Yadav, the only two in the World Cup squad are Ishan Kishan and Prasidh Krishna in the T20 series squad.
