Celebrity Cricket League' starts for the first time in Bangladesh

The 'Celebrity Cricket League' has been running for several years in neighboring India. Taking a temporary break from professional work, the stars of the entertainment world came down to the field with bat-ball in hand. An organization called 'Generation Next' has organized the same competition for the first time in Bangladesh.


Cricket league 'Celebrity Cricket League Bangladesh (CCL)' will be organized with celebrity stars of Bangladesh at Shaheed Suhrawardi Indoor Stadium (Mirpur Indoor Stadium) in Dhaka on September 28. Which will continue till September 30.

Last (September 4, 2023) in a press conference at Gulshan Club, the organizers gave details about the event.

Bangladesh cricket's first centurion Mehrab Hossain Opi was present at that press conference. This tournament arranged with 8 teams will fight in two groups. At the end of the group stage, four teams will play in the semi-finals and the two winners from among them will play in the final. The 8 team is led by producers Gias Uddin Selim, Salahuddin Lavlu, Shihab Shaheen, Chayanika Chowdhury, Dipankar Dipon, Shokal Ahmed, Mostafa Kamal Raz, and Raihan Rafi. A total of 16 showbiz stars including actors-actresses, singers, models will play in each team.

Salahuddin Lavlu said in the press conference, "Bangladesh is set to play in the Cricket World Cup, which is a matter of great pride for us. We hope that Bangladesh emerges victorious in the World Cup. Our efforts with the Celebrity Cricket League are aimed at boosting the spirits of our national cricket team."

Dipankar Dipon said, "The CCL is a fantastic event, and our participation is fueled by our passion for cricket. beyond this, our national cricket team will participate in future World Cups, and we are organizing this event to show our support and encouragement. I believe the entire event will be thoroughly enjoyable."

Gias Uddin Selim said, "In fact, enthusiasm is bigger than playing cricket." We will all celebrate the game of bat-ball for a few days together. Winning or losing is not the point here. Our craze for cricket is here.'

Chayanika Chowdhury said, 'It will be really nice to be able to take the field with your team in such an event. This cricket match will be in eight teams. Favorite stars will play in each team. I hope this whole three-day event will be festive for everyone.

Along with Generation Next Private Limited, Wing Communications is the co-organizer of Bangladesh Celebrity Cricket League. The match will be telecast live on T Sports Channel.

In addition to the thrilling match, there is an enticing prize of more than 1 lakh for the winning team, along with a prestigious trophy.
