The fire broke out at Dhaka's Mohammadpur Krishi Market around 3:30 pm. Six hours later, the fire is still burning. But the fire is under control. Water is being brought through pipes from the nearby Japan Garden City to solve the water crisis.


Shajahan Shikder, media wing officer of the fire service, said that the fire was brought under control at 9:25 p.m. But the fire was not completely extinguished. Searching every part of the market.


The firefighting support team of the army, navy and Bangladesh Air Force are assisting the fire service in controlling the fire. Police and BGB have also been deployed for rescue and assistance.


Fire crews were seen working to contain the fire until 9am on Thursday (September 13). They said that after 3:30 in the morning, the fire broke out in Dhaka Mohammadpur Krishi Market. At 3:43 p.m., the fire service control room was alerted. The fire service arrived at the scene and started working at 3:57 p.m.


Around the market, 17 units of the fire service are working to control the fire. Fire service personnel have entered the market and are continuing to douse the fire that has spread to every shop.


Locals complain that the fire service is taking a lot of time to control the fire. Besides, after the fire came under some control, they faced a shortage of water. which is delaying the control of the fire. Because of that, the flames have spread throughout the market.

An official of the fire service at the spot said, "We are working to control the fire, but it is not under control yet." Once the fire is under control, it will be possible to report the damage later. However, no casualties have been reported so far.
