Babar Azam's 19th ODI century

Babar Azam took a lot of time to reach the milestone of his 19th ODI century. He played cautiously as the top-ranked ODI batsman. He pushed the ball to deep point and completed two runs in the 42nd over. And with that, he completed his century. 100 in 109 balls!

In May last year, at home against New Zealand, he broke the record of South Africa's legendary Hashim Amla for the fastest 18 centuries in the fourth ODI. Today, he scored his 19th career century against Nepal. This is also the record for the most centuries in the fewest matches. Babar played a total of 102 innings to get his 19th century.

Considering the context of the match, Babar's century was certainly valuable. Pakistan, who were invited to bat first against Nepal in the opening match of the Asia Cup, lost wickets regularly and were in a bit of trouble. The Pakistan captain stood firm at one end while the batsmen came and went at the other.

He initially formed some resistance with Mohammad Rizwan. In the end, he scored runs with middle-order batsman Iftikhar Ahmed.
