7,000 Russian soldiers killed in Ukraine-Russia war: United States

 

U.S. officials say more than 7,000 Russian soldiers have been killed so far in the Ukraine-Russia war. Al Jazeera reports from The New York Times. The numbers were reportedly based on various media analyzes, Ukrainian statistics, Russ statistics, satellite imagery, and videos of Russ tanks and soldiers being attacked.

Al Jazeera reports that Ukraine claims that 13,000 Russians were killed in the fighting. Russia claims 498 of its troops have been killed.

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, meanwhile, claims that the death toll in Russia is higher than in Russia, Syria, Chechnya, or Afghanistan. The media reported this news in a report.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy says that the losses suffered by the Russians in Ukraine were not the same as in the wars in Syria or Chechnya. Afghanistan Soviet troops did not suffer such casualties.
