If you don't pay, Twitter will remove the blue tick of the 'old verified ID'

After Elon Musk bought ownership of Twitter last year, he announced that those who want a blue tick next to their name will get it if they pay. Previously, actors, sportspersons, politicians, and social figures were given blue ticks next to their names to mark their accounts as verified.

However, Twitter has decided that accounts that were previously verified without money during normal times will now have to pay as well. Otherwise, the blue tick will be removed from the side of the name. This new rule will be effective from April 1.

The world's most popular micro-blogging site has made a new decision in the hope of increasing the number of subscriptions to the blue tick service. According to the company, those who want to keep the blue tick mark will have to subscribe.

In this regard, the Twitter verified account tweeted on Friday (March 24), "Starting April 1, we will begin winding down our old verified program and removing the verified symbol." Sign up to Twitter Blue to keep your Blue tick.'

Meanwhile, those on Android and iOS devices will have to spend $11 per month to get Twitter Blue Tick. And if you subscribe from the website, you have to pay $8. Twitter also has annual packages. If one wants to take the Blue Tick mark for one year, they will get a 12 percent discount.
